Greeting a Healing Touch Client

I invite you to partner with me to receive energy therapy and learn how to strengthen your energy system to promote your body’s self-healing ability. Healing Touch, a complementary energy therapy that supports and enhances traditional healthcare, addresses the body’s energy centers and the biofield of the body. Energy therapy involves using light touch and working on the biofield to clear blocked energy, balance your energy and energize your subtle energy system. Sessions are both relaxing and therapeutic.

As a Healing Touch Practitioner, I use a variety of interventions to assist in the following: reducing stress; decreasing pain; calming anxiety, depression; strengthening the immune system; enhancing recovery from surgery; complementary care for neck and back problems; deepening spiritual connection; supporting cancer care; creating a sense of well-being; easing acute and chronic conditions; end of life care and support for the dying process. Also, my clients, in their own words, comment on how energy therapy with me has helped them.

Healing Touch research suggests that there are other benefits. Individual experiences will vary.  A number of my clients use Healing Touch to provide energetic support for traditional therapies, such as physical therapy or counseling. Clients who are seniors report that Healing Touch has helped with their energy level as well as aches and pains associated with arthritis. I have provided energetic support for a number of clients going through life transitions, such as career or relationship changes.  

I recommend you start with a first visit to assess the overall state of your energy system. We will collaborate to make a plan for improving your energy. Because energy therapy is cumulative, a series of weekly sessions over six to eight weeks is recommended.

Client intake

I work with adults at any stage of their  lives. I also work with children under 18 years old on a case-by-case basis.  As a former special education teacher in the Iowa City Community School District, I am happy to work with families to enhance the strategies they are using to help their children and to support professional collaboration.

I am a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner with Healing Touch International, based in Colorado. I also am an Iowa licensed Master Educator with a Master’s Degree in Education.

My practice is located in east Iowa City at the corner of Wayne and William Streets, across from U.S. Bank. The address is 1070 William Street, Iowa City, IA 52240.
